Castelvecchio Village

Header castelvecchio village

This weekend I took some video of Castelvecchio and its surrounding woodland.

Let me take you on a journey in video as I come across beautiful scenery, locals and what I believe to be a WW2 shelter beside a stunning waterfall within the woodland.

The shelter looked like it had hardly been touched since the mid 1940’s when locals are said to have dug out the rock beside the cascading water, to shelter them from the fighting nearby. (watch in HD for better viewing)

I enjoyed making this video and have been asked by many people to upload more so I will be recording scenes around these picturesque villages on a regular basis. To ensure you don’t miss out in future, you can sign up to receive posts via email here.

Ciao,

Susan

I'm a English photographer and mother living in a quaint medieval village in the hills of Tuscany, Italy. Almost every day I find myself lost in the stunning landscape and architecture of these ancient settlements. I try and portray this beauty through my images, in hope of transporting those browsing to a more peaceful and tranquil place.
